What actually happens when I use it?
You move through a short grounding ritual — a poem, a breathwork exercise — and then draw a card from a circle of 44. The card reveals its message. You read it, sit with it, carry it into your day. That's it. Simple by design.
Is this religious?
Not at all. The Empath Wellness Oracle is not affiliated with any religion or spiritual tradition. It's a wellness tool — a way of checking in with yourself. Whatever your beliefs, there is a place for you here.
Is this a replacement for medical care or therapy?
No — and it's not trying to be. This is a daily wellness practice, not a clinical tool. It won't diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. If you're working with a therapist or healthcare provider, this can sit alongside that work. Think of it as a daily anchor — not a solution, but a support.
How is this different from journaling or therapy?
Therapy goes deep — this doesn't try to compete with that. Journaling requires you to generate the content yourself — this gives you a starting point when you have nothing. The oracle meets you in two minutes, before the day takes over. It's the thing you do before everything else, not instead of it.
How is this different from other wellness apps?
Most wellness approaches focus on emotions — processing them, tracking them, talking about them. This one works differently. Do I need to know anything about oracle cards?
Nothing at all. You choose the card that calls to you and receive the message. There is no wrong way to do this.
The Tiers
Is it free?
Yes — the Seeker tier is free forever. 3 card draws per month, a basic reading with each card, no credit card required. It's a real tier, not a trial.
What do I get if I pay?
Mystic — $3/month. 22 draws per month. A basic reading on every card — an opening message and three insight prompts. For the one who wants to show up for themselves every day — a conscious choice, each time.
Sage — $7/month. 44 draws per month. Every card unlocks the full extended reading — a deeper energy reading plus five journal questions to help you integrate what came up. For the one who feels called to go deep right now.
What is the extended reading?
Every card includes a basic reading — an opening message and three insight prompts (Your Power Today, Sacred Being, Permission). The extended reading goes deeper — it's available to Sage members only and adds a fuller energy reading plus five journal questions to help you sit with and integrate what came up.
When do my draws reset?
Seeker: Every 30 days from your signup date — the same rhythm each month, forever.
Mystic and Sage: Every 30 days from your payment date. Your window rolls with your subscription.
Can I see my card history?
Seeker: Current period only — the cards drawn this month.
Mystic: Your current subscription period.
Sage: A rolling 3-month window. Your history builds while you're on Sage.
What happens when I hit my draw limit?
You'll land on a page with your options — upgrade, or wait for your draws to reset. You're never just blocked without an explanation or a way forward.
Payments & Subscriptions
How does payment work?
Payments go through PayFast — a secure international payment gateway. Credit card or debit card. Prices are in USD. Payment is processed at the current exchange rate — your card is charged the exact dollar equivalent.
Can I pay once instead of subscribing monthly?
Yes. Both Mystic and Sage offer a once-off 30-day pass — same price, same access, no auto-renewal. When the 30 days are up your account returns to Seeker until you choose to repay.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings whenever you like. Your access continues until the end of your current billing period — nothing cuts off immediately.
Can I upgrade or downgrade?
Upgrades happen immediately — your new tier is active the moment payment clears. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period so you keep what you've paid for.
Using the App
Can I draw the same card twice?
Yes. If the same card keeps finding you, pay attention — there's something in that message that hasn't fully landed yet.
What if a card doesn't resonate?
Trust yourself. Sometimes a card lands immediately. Sometimes the meaning unfolds throughout the day. And sometimes it just doesn't — that's okay too. Your intuition is always the guide.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes — it's fully mobile responsive and works on any device. Add it to your home screen and it opens like a native app, no app store needed.
iPhone (Safari): Open the site → tap the share icon (box with arrow) → scroll down → Add to Home Screen → Add.
Android (Chrome): Open the site → tap the menu (3 dots, top right) → Add to Home Screen → Add.
Once added it will appear on your home screen with the Empath Oracle icon and open fullscreen like any other app.
How do I reset my password?
Click Forgot Password on the login page, enter your email, and we'll send you a reset link. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes check your spam folder or contact us at hello@shedandshift.com.
Can I delete my account?
Yes. Go to Account Settings and click Delete Account. Everything is permanently removed — your profile, draw history, referral record. This cannot be undone.
